Make this easy DIY No-Sew Christmas Pet Stocking to make your home festive for your furry family members too.
Christmas is here and you just can’t let your little beloved pet go without a stocking to hang beside the chimney with care. I can sew a little, but at this super busy time of year I wanted to get something out quick since I was also making these for friends and family members pets. Trace a simple template for your stocking, like a bone for your pup and a fish for your feline. Grab a glue gun and lets get started!
Supplies Needed for DIY No-Sew Christmas Pet Stocking:
- Template (Trace a simple bone or fish shape in the size that you would like your stocking to be.)
- 2 sheets of felt
- Hi Temp glue gun
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Glue
- Optional: glitter, googly eye, pen or paint pen
DIY No-Sew Christmas Pet Stocking Instructions:
Trace out your desired shape onto felt- do this twice. If you want a larger stocking, increase size and purchase a piece of felt by the yard instead of a small sheet.
Cut shapes from felt and place opposite sides together, trying to line them up as closely as possible.
Working an inch or two at a time so glue doesn’t dry too quickly, run a bead of glue about 1/8” from the edge, press top piece into bottom.
Continue all the way around leaving enough on the top to fill stocking.
Turn stocking inside out.
Cut a piece of ribbon about 3” long. Hot glue onto the back in a loop to hang stocking up.
Add details like a name- to do this I simply wrote the name in glue, and while it was still wet sprinkled with glitter.
Let dry completely and shake off excess.
For the fish take a sharpie or paint pen and draw on details like fins. Use hot glue to attach a googly eye.
Alternatively you can also sew this by hand or with a machine.
We hope these DIY No-Sew Christmas Pet Stockings brings some joy to your fur-kids!
