Homemade Dog Toothpaste

by Pet Coupon Savings on October 28, 2013

This homemade dog toothpaste uses coconut oil, fresh mint leaves, cinnamon and more. A few ingredients make for a frugal and healthy way to help maintain your dog’s oral hygiene.

No matter how cute your dog is, once they pass that sweet puppy breath stage their doggie breath can be unbearable. Just like with humans, teeth plaque can build up and cause bad doggie breath. Having your dog’s teeth brushed professionally can get crazy expensive! It is simple to make your own homemade dog toothpaste, and just like you watch what ingredients are in your pup’s food and treats, you can control what goes into his toothpaste. Not only will brushing your pet’s teeth improve his breath but it is necessary to keep good oral care. Just like people they are susceptible to gum disease, which can lead to worse health problems. Try to brush your dogs teeth at least 2-3 times per week if not daily.
